The Difference You Make:
The Sales Performance Director is responsible for enhancing sales effectiveness across Santander's Retail Investments distribution network. This role partners closely with the Head of Retail Investments and Market Directors to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans that drive growth, address performance gaps, and improve results across the network. As we continue to expand our Retail Investments business, we are focused on building a high-performing sales organization that delivers strong client outcomes. The Sales Performance Director plays a key role in aligning execution with strategy, strengthening sales capabilities, and ensuring initiatives lead to measurable business impact.
Sales Performance & Strategy Execution
- Own and deliver measurable improvements in sales productivity, consistency, and revenue performance across markets.
- Turn national sales strategy into clear, actionable plans across regions and markets.
- Identify performance gaps and partner with leadership to address underperformance.
- Share and scale best practices across markets.
- Work closely with Market Directors to ensure strong execution and alignment with business priorities.
Analytics & Performance Management
- Ownership of defining KPIs and performance definitions, performance management routines, and execution standards
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the business.
- Use data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
- Improve reporting to make performance more transparent and easier to manage.
Field Enablement & Execution
- Partner with sales leaders to improve how sales initiatives are executed in the field.
- Help develop and deliver tools, training, and resources that support Financial Advisors.
- Work with product and marketing teams to ensure alignment with sales priorities.
- Promote consistent sales practices and client engagement across all markets.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work across sales, product, operations, and strategy teams to support execution.
- Help ensure key initiatives are coordinated and delivered effectively.
- Support business priorities such as product launches and growth initiatives.
Culture & Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Encourage regular feedback and use it to improve processes and results.
- Support a practical, results-focused approach to problem solving.
What You Bring:

- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or broker-dealer environments.
- 12+ years of experience in sales strategy, sales management, or performance-focused roles.
- Proven ability to improve sales results across a distributed sales organization.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into clear actions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with senior leaders and field teams.
- Understanding of advisor-based sales models and client relationship management.
- Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.

Licensing Requirements:
- FINRA Series 7 required
- Series 24 preferred (or ability to obtain)

- Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.

What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

$135,000.00 USDMaximum:
$240,000.00 USDRisk Culture:
