Director, Application Development,
Duties: Analyze, evaluate, and propose IT systems and solutions to enhance the value of the business, reduce cost or otherwise provide a competitive advantage, performing the following specific duties: lead and direct multiple system design, development and support initiatives to research, procure and implement cutting-edge software and hardware solutions that meet the evolving needs of the Bank; develop and implement business plans, policies, procedures, including program specifications, diagrams and data flow charts; maintain subject matter expertise in core banking systems in general and payment systems in particular; contribute to strategic technology planning with business clients and senior systems management and recommend new technologies for the Bank's next generation solutions; lead operational execution of strategic initiatives, including the design, development, testing and support of application software; coordinate system installation with business user departments and operations, ensuring satisfactory results; and provide advanced-level software and system support for all related applications and associates.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Technology, Computer Information Systems or Business Administration with concentration in Finance, plus two years of experience in the offered position or as Senior Associate or Senior Consultant. All required experience must have included: designing, analyzing and supporting electronic data systems for core banking systems (e.g. accounts, payments) using knowledge of retail and commercial banking workflows; evaluating compliance with KYC, AML, and financial regulations (Dodd-Frank, SOX and CRR 3); creating process flows (as-is/to-be) for banking operations using understanding of data flows between systems (core banking, CRM); facilitating financial reporting and reconciliation using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau and Python; developing, deploying, and integrating complex, scalable software solutions and features in distributed systems codebase using Agile framework, Python, Open Source Platforms, service-oriented architecture, middleware and integration layers, legacy banking systems and modern APIs, SQL, Oracle, Access DB, XML, MS Office, MS SharePoint, MS Project, and Delivery Hub.
Details: Full-time. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Quincy, MA office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
