Duties:  Oversee senior-level institutional relationships with major global asset managers, serving as a strategic advisor on capital allocation to Mexico and broader Latin America and applying deep regional expertise, cultural fluency, and established institutional networks to strengthen long-term client penetration and revenue growth. Play an expanded advisory role in ECM transactions involving Mexican and other Latin American issuers by advising on investor targeting, assessing demand quality, synthesizing cross-border investor feedback, and contributing to pricing discussions and allocation strategy. Originate and expand cross-border equity flows by deepening relationships with pension funds and institutional investors in Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Colombia, enhancing Santander’s positioning as a bridge between U.S. capital and Latin American markets. Provide advanced market intelligence and capital positioning analysis focused on Mexican and regional political, regulatory, and macroeconomic developments, informing trading strategy and capital markets execution. Mentor junior professionals and coordinate cross-functional initiatives across research, trading, and investment banking to improve execution of cross-border transactions involving Latin American issuers.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Financial Management, Economics or Business Administration, plus 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in the offered position or as Equity Research Analyst or Equity Product Specialist in the banking/finance sector. All of the required experience must have included executing U.S. capital markets transactions (IPOs, follow-ons, and secondary offerings) involving Latin American issuers using knowledge of U.S.-LATAM cross-border regulations and market structures and Mexican stock market; originating senior client relationships with institutional investors in the U.S. and Canada and providing them with information and services regarding equity investments to maximize returns; developing and managing relationships with institutional investors based in Latin American (Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia): including family offices, pension funds, hedge funds, and asset managers; monitoring regional financial markets, generating trade ideas and supporting investor decision-making using Bloomberg Terminal; and using CRM Salesforce, CorpAxe and Dealogic to analyze client data, drive revenue generation and manage corporate access logistics. FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 7TO and Series 63) required.

Details:  Full-time. Position requires approximately 40-50% domestic and international travel for client meetings and to conduct on-the-ground research.
