Who can I refer?

If you’re familiar with our old referral program, pay attention—our policy has changed effective July 1, 2023. You can now make referrals across entities (with the exception of BSI) and potentially receive a referral bonus. So, if you’re a Santander Bank N.A. employee who knows someone who would be a great fit for a Santander Consumer or NY Branch role (or vice versa), you can refer a friend or former colleague as part of our Employee Referral Program. Please note that cross-entity referrals submitted prior to July 1, 2023, will not be eligible.

At this time, BSI does not have an employee referral policy, but we encourage you to share BSI job openings with your network.

How do I get the referral bonus?

The short answer is you need to submit your referral in Workday. The referral will then receive an e-mail with a link to apply to the position. Your referral should then apply via that link. If your referral is hired and eligible under the Employee Referral Program, the referral bonus will be paid out in the last pay period of the month after the referral completes three months of service.

How is the referral bonus issued to me?

If eligible, the referral bonus will be issued via payroll in the last pay period of the month after the referral has completed 3 months of service.
