The Difference You Make:The Business Process Management role operates within the First Line of Defense and is accountable to assist the Retail Network drive effective and consistent business line execution against the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Specifically provides the leadership and direction to the team that is responsible for the Quality Control reviews for Retail Network newly opened and/or maintenance accounts.Additionally, the team serves as the Control for first line AML CIP/CDD review and Sales Practice and is expected to adhere to a specified timeline for compliance. The Manager is a subject matter expert and assists with completion of business line risk initiatives, as assigned, such as risk assessments, KRI/KPI development and monitoring, and on-time remediation of issues. The candidate must be able to effectively partner with key stakeholders including Retail Network, Fraud and AML and prepare and present trending and results as needed.

  • Manages a team of 15 who are responsible for executing the quality control reviews for Retail Network newly opened and/or maintenance accounts.Additionally, the team serves as the first line control for both CIP/CDD and Sales Practice risks.
  • Ensures transparency of business results, finance and processes. Typically organizes a reporting system and tracks goals accomplishment, collect and process data and provides managers with all necessary company management data and information.
  • Ensures the team functions on a daily basis, in a effective and efficient manner.
  • Issue Identification, Management, and Risk Assessment – Conduct RCSA responsibilities including Process Mapping, Risk & Control Matrices, Inherent Risk Assessments, Internal Control testing and Heracles data/input.
  • Internal Control Testing: Implement and maintain SOX and internal control testing and control effectiveness monitoring in the Business Line. Validate the adequacy of controls, escalate deficiencies as appropriate. Identify root causes of control deficiencies/weaknesses and take appropriate action to ensure Business Lines remediate and prevent recurrence.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required


Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years Quality Control Team experience. - Required.
  • 5+ Years Financial Services Industry experience highly desirable. - Required.
  • 5+ Years Experience leading teams to effectively deliver business results while successfully balancing multiple priorities. - Required.
  • Strong overall business acumen; industry knowledge, and knowledge of broader Santander Organization.
  • Critical thinker with ability to apply business expertise and logic to multiple situations.
  • Excellent problem solver and decision maker, with ability to provide creative solutions to solve complex problems. Applies independent judgment to resolve difficult issues.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, personal ownership and drive towards results.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$78,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$140,000.00 USD
