Position Summary:
Assist in the development and delivery of exchange traded derivatives (listed options) business by leading the execution of the product line, executing transactions with external providers and assisting Investment Advisors and Private Bankers in the whole value chain of listed options business (from execution followed by lifecycle management until expiry). The job-holder is an integral member of the Capital Markets Team within the Products department who will be an effective team player and assume other responsibilities in other product lines, such as in the execution of listed securities or capital markets (structured products), to make a distinct contribution to the Trading & Capital Markets team’s overall targets. The job-holder will need to manage, prioritize and balance a complex range of financial data and information, a variety of processes and systems, multi-channels, stakeholders, legal and regulatory issues in order to deliver distribution targets and revenue growth.
The Derivatives Trader reports to the Trading & Capital Markets Director.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
• Execute exchange-traded derivatives (listed options) / securities for clients associated to listed options within established risk limits and parameters.
• Ensure compliance for best execution, and trading activity with approved counterparties to ensure that criteria established by Risk Committee is adhere to on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure a high quality execution that complies with all policy and procedural guidelines developed for the function.
• Ensure all activity is compliant with our regulatory status, risk limits & guidelines; and internal requirements.
• Work closely with Risk, Legal, Internal Auditand Regulatory areas to ensure all changes are reviewed and compliant with our regulatory status and internal requirements.
• Identify potential issues and risks and manage effectively, keeping key stakeholders informed.
• Assist in the development of innovative and creative propositions, processes, approaches and incentives to ensure profitable achievement of targets for financial products.
• Use extensive technical knowledge in financial markets and specifically in derivatives to assist in the implementation of listed derivatives strategies.
• Ensure the investment idea pitches / and also proactively position listed options area as a business service for the Investments area and services to plan.
• Ensure that all administrative steps necessary for efficient running the delivery of investment ideas.
• Ensure that regular contact with the salesforce (Portfolio Advisory + AIS) is kept to offer technical advisory assistance during the day via meetings, conferences and other communication channels.
• Gather product and services feedback from the salesforce and incorporates it in the listed options proposition to improve its attractiveness to the target customer sectors accordingly.
• Identify opportunities looking extensively into client's positions book for actively provide listed options strategies tailored made for specific clients.
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships providing efficient execution of trades including client activity.
• Promote automation, reducing operational errors
• Ensure that activity is governed by proper updated policies and procedures.
• Participate and deliver projects assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
Business Experience:
5 - 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Specialized and/or Technical Knowledge:
• Understanding of financial products, including derivatives.
• Knowledge of banking products (swaps, foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives), cash flows, financial reporting and analysis, management reporting, variance analysis, fixed income and capital markets.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Good understanding of the banking regulatory environment.
• Strong communication skills, both, written and verbal.
• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Languages:
English & Spanish required.
What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

$80,625.00 USDMaximum:
$135,000.00 USDRisk Culture:
