The Difference You Make:
The Short Term Markets area is responsible for repurchase agreements and reverse repurchase agreements which includes financing overnight inventory of securities and for the Bonds Borrowed function. Products include overnight repos, term repos, tri-part, reverses, and buy or sell back agreements. The IC3 Product Specialist - Short Term Markets is responsible for leading the Company's business development efforts throughout the assigned region targeting larger scale clients. The incumbent will drive the growth and retention of existing client relationships, build new client relationships, and provide the full breadth of the Company's products and services to clients and prospects.

  • Leads the Company's business development efforts throughout the assigned region targeting larger scale clients.

  • Provides the full breadth of the Company's products and services to clients and prospects.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with participating lenders to ensure adequate market demand for desk collateral.

  • Participates in joint calling effort with bankers in an effort to uncover securities financing with our clients.

  • Partners with Relationship Managers on new business development opportunities related to securities financing.


Project Description:

The Mundo & Swap Program is a Global Mobility initiative designed to promote international collaboration, cross-functional knowledge sharing, and professional development. Through this program, employees participate in a six-month, full-time onsite assignment, either across different countries or between teams within the same country, while remaining employees of their home organization.

This assignment is intended to support the exchange of operational knowledge, best practices, and expertise between teams. The selected individual will work closely with stakeholders to share knowledge related to systems, applications, operational processes, balance sheet and position management activities, risk management practices, and process automation. The role will also help drive greater alignment, consistency, and standardization of processes across Santander's global operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Santander, a strong understanding of relevant products and market dynamics, and demonstrated expertise in operational processes, business applications, risk management, and automation initiatives. Success in this role will require strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to effectively transfer knowledge and support strategic business objectives across international teams.

GENERAL INFORMATION OF THE PROGRAM:

  • Participation in MUNDO program can be full-time or part-time, and face to face or remote.However, the following assignments will not be allowed: a) International + face-to-face + part time; b) International + remote + medium term (7 to 24 months).

  • If participation in a project implies an international movement, the participant will receive the corresponding international assignment package (work permit, travel, accommodation, daily allowance/COLA, medical insurance) and in case of assignment for more than 6 months, they will also receive: intermediate travel and tax advisory.

  • Remember that all international assignments must always comply with immigration rules, and if a work permit is needed, the process with immigration authorities takes time.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$270,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$330,000.00 USD
