The Difference You Make:
The Sr Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is responsible for supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis across the Corporate & Investment Banking business. This role partners with business leaders and global finance teams to analyze financial performance, improve reporting processes, provide actionable insights, and support capital management initiatives. The position also serves as a subject matter expert, driving process improvements, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality financial reporting to support business and regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Analyze P&L performance, business trends, and financial results across products and business units.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve data quality, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Partner with senior leadership and business stakeholders to present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
  • Support capital management initiatives, including understanding Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), regulatory requirements, and risk appetite frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting, and organizational effectiveness through automation and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams, including finance partners in Spain, on planning and reporting initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior team members while serving as an FP&A subject matter expert.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required
  • Master's Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Preferred


Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting experience within the banking or financial services industry (Corporate & Investment Banking preferred).
  • Strong experience in financial planning & analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and communicate complex financial concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience communicating to senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive projects to completion.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to research, analyze, and synthesize financial information into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and partner effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and capital management is a plus.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Certifications:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) - Preferred.
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) - Preferred.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$140,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$190,000.00 USD
